About Atari Alumni

Welcome to AtariAlumni.com

This website represents a long term goal, to bring together information, websites, and the people that created the greatest computing and gaming empire ever!

As a pioneer myself, I was part of the engineering team that created the original Atari Home Computers - 400, 800, 1200-1200XL, and numerous peripheral devices; and later fulfilled a role as one of Atari’s senior research staff.

Please feel free to contribute your comments, recollections, and history of the real Atari!

Thanks

Dr. Tim McGuinness

I worked at Atari from Jan 1977 to June 1984. I worked originally in Corporate as an Executive Assistant and finished working in Coin-op as a Budget Analyst. I would love to be in touch with others who worked during the same time period.

I worked at Atari from 1978 to 1984. Started in the Pinball Division moved to the 2600 then to the 400/800 computers, finally got tired of Production and moved to R&D in the Plumeria building, also played on the Atari softball team for 6 years, I have many fond memories of my days at Atari.
